The Pekisko Group (the "Group") either owns the intellectual property rights, including copyright, in and to this Site, or has acquired the necessary licenses, including all text, HTML code, images, graphics and the selection and arrangement of the contents of this Site (collectively the "Information").
As a user of this Site, you are granted a limited license to use (display or print) short extracts of the Information for your own personal, non-commercial use only, provided the Information is not modified, and you shall be fully responsible for any consequences resulting from such use. Any other use of the Information is strictly prohibited.
None of the Information may be otherwise reproduced, republished or re-disseminated in any manner or form without the prior written consent of the Group.
(b) No Endorsement
The Site may contain links to other sites. These links are provided as for convenience only to help you identify and locate other Internet resources that may be of interest. These other sites were independently developed by parties other than the Group, and the Group does not assume responsibility for the accuracy or appropriateness of the information contained at such sites. The Group is not responsible for the privacy practices of linked websites.

The Group is not responsible for any direct, indirect, special, incidental or consequential damage or any other damages whatsoever and howsoever caused, arising out of or in connection with the use of the Site or in reliance on the Information available on the Site, including any loss of use, lost data, lost business profits, business interruption, personal injury, or any other personal or pecuniary loss, whether the action is in contract, tort (including negligence) or other tortious action. The Group disclaims any liability for unauthorized use or reproduction of any portion of the Site.
(d) Monitoring
The Group is under no obligation to monitor the Site and assumes no responsibility or liability should its content be modified or altered in any way without the Group's consent.
(e) Confidentiality Warning
Absent the use of encryption, the Internet is not a secure medium and privacy cannot be ensured. Internet e-mail is vulnerable to interception and forging. The Group will not be responsible for any damages you or any third party may suffer as a result of the transmission of confidential information that you make to the Group through the Internet, or that you expressly or implicitly authorize the the Group to make, or for any errors or any changes made to any transmitted information.
(f) Computer Viruses
While every effort is made to ensure that all information provided at the Site does not contain computer viruses, you should take reasonable and appropriate precautions to scan for computer viruses and should ensure that you have a complete and current backup of the applicable items of information contained on your computer system. You should pay specific attention to some of the newer viruses that have been written to automatically execute when an infected word processing document is loaded into certain word processing programs.
(g) Conformance with Law
You agree that your use of the Site shall not violate any applicable local, national or international law, including but not limited to any regulations having the force of law. Some jurisdictions may have restrictions on the use of the Internet by their residents. You agree not to impersonate another person in your use of the Site or the sending of any e-mail to an address listed on the Site.
(h) Choice of Law
The laws of the Province of Alberta and the laws of Canada applicable therein shall govern as to the interpretation, validity and effect of this agreement notwithstanding any conflict of laws provisions or your domicile, residence or physical location. You hereby consent and submit to the jurisdiction of the courts of the Province of Alberta in any action or proceeding instituted under or related to this agreement.
(i) Submissions
All information submitted to the Group via the Site shall be deemed and remain the property of the Group subject to the privacy policies and the Group shall be free to use, for any purpose, any ideas, concepts, know-how or other techniques contained in information provided to the Group through the Site or sent through e-mail. The Group shall not be subject to any obligations of confidentiality regarding any such information submitted to it unless specifically agreed by the Group or required by law.
(j) Collection of Personal Data
The Group does not collect or distribute the IP or e-mail addresses of visitors to our webpage. The Group does collect aggregate information on which pages visitors access or visit, and any information volunteered by the visitor through the contact form, membership form, or emails. The information we collect is used to improve the content of our Website and communicate with our members and friends. It is not shared with other organizations for commercial purposes.
The list of 'Friends of the Pekisko Rangeland' is used for communication with members only and is not shared with any other organization.
(k) Warning to Young People
Children are warned that they should never provide any personal information such as name, email address, street address or telephone number over the internet unless they have first talked to and received the approval of their parents.
(l) Cookies
This Site does not set any cookies.
(m) Donations
Information provided by donors is collected in a Group database and utilized for future communications with members. This information is not shared with any other organization.
It is our policy never to solicit contributions from minors, and no requests for support should in any way be construed as applying to persons under 18 years of age.
(n) E-mail communication
E-mail communications will from time to time be distributed to members who identify their e-mail addresses in communications to the Group. Please advise support@pekisko.ca or send a letter to our mailing address listed on the contact page if you prefer to receive communications by regular mail. We will not share your e-mail address with other companies or organizations.
(o) Disclosure
Upon request the Group will provide members and donors with access to all information that we maintain about them. Donors can access this information by sending an email, or by contacting the Group by mail or telephone listed on the contact page here.
(p) Unanticipated Future Changes
From time to time, we may use visitor information for new, unanticipated uses not previously disclosed in our privacy notice. If our information practices change at some time in the future we will post the policy changes to our website to notify you of these changes, plus provide you with the ability to opt out of these new uses.
